Vibenotic Recordings was started by Matt Dubspun in 2004. It is a record label that features original Techno and House Music compositions.
Matt Dubspun
It was obvious to Matt since he was about 4 years old finding himself playing records and creating on his siblings' musical instruments that his future involved the science of music. Starting to experiment with sound and later to DJ. Matt found himself on stage in front of large audiences from early on in his DJing career. In High School he was DJing live on the radio multiple times during the week at WKKC 89.3FM in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. As soon as he could drive he started exploring on-air appearances at WCRX 88.1FM and WCYC 90.5FM. In the late 1990's he started multiple radio shows at WIIT 88.9FM . The most noteworthy being Vibenotic which aired from 2002 to 2007.
Not really interested in pursuing commercial radio Matt turned his focus to his music compositions and record label. Matt Dubspun still DJs throughout Chicago and abroad with a focus on venues that still provide Technics 1200 turntables. His sets range from Acid Jazz, Jazz, World, Deep House, Detroit Techno as well as other styles of music.
